Building Character... One Word at a Time

April: Generosity

Generosity- Generosity is the act of giving. Often it means giving up money or possessions. But it can also mean giving time, or a listening ear, or kindness, or a smile, or just about anything. So you see, you don't have to be rich to be generous - we ALL have things we can give. In what ways do you show generosity in your everyday life? How are other people generous towards you?

Welcome to Mamaroneck Avenue School, or as we call it "MAS." MAS is a very special place, the center of the multi-cultural community of Mamaroneck, New York. MAS is a home for our families and their children. We believe in a partnership which puts children and their education at the center of our work. All of our modern facilities are designed to create a safe, nurturing environment in which children can develop a love of literacy, and build the skills they need to succeed in school. Our teachers and parents work together to nurture curiosity, build strong learning behaviors, and develop a life-long love of learning.

Welcome to our school. I hope that you enjoy the tour, and you can see the evidence of the wonderful work our teachers and children do together each day.

Principal, MAS

See the slideshow below to see how students and staff at MAS "Lit It Up Blue" on April 2nd to show their support of World Autism Awareness Day. All across the country, people, and buildings like the Empire State Building, wore blue to represent the special occasion. MAS was no different.
